Daily quotes
"For most of us, we can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that only GOD knows the truth of our lives. He's seen the whole shooting match- and interestingly enough, He sees all that's coming up, too. And you know what? He's still incredibly in love with us."
"The standards of Risk Management were different when I was young. We didn't have a seat belt law, our schools were built with asbestos, there was lead in the wall paint of our rooms, and we drank tap water. HOW DID WE EVER SURVIVE?"
Enjoy-

#14 God is GOOD
Today we were blessed. We went to our Argentine friends house for some fellowship. On the way there we stopped at Honey Baked Ham- to get things for dinner since I was given a gift certificate to use there! We got a ham and also we got some side items.
Once we got there Gabby and I got dinner together and then she took me to the garage where she told me to take whatever I needed. Once a month they have donations given to them to share with their church members- This month they got lots of toys and such. They even told me to take toys for kids of friends.
These are the items we were blessed with this month.
- toothpaste
- toothbrushes
- paper towels
- toilet paper
- laundry detergent
- bounce sheets
- pantie liners
- tampons
- maxi pads
- diapers (for a co-workers Brandon)
- diaper rash ointment (for co-worker)
- bottles
- lipstick
- chapstick
- candles
- blankets
- floss
- toilet bowl cleaner
- body lotions
- shavers
- band aids
- Mr. Clean Eraser
- starch
- napkins
- Play kitchen set
- play table and chair set Tinker bell one
- play shopping basket with goodies in it
- Cars blow up chair
- Cars sleeping bag
- Tinker bell night light
- Cinderella travel set (with sleeping bad, night light, flashlight and pillow)
- Make up set for kids
- so many more things I cannot remember!
While we ate dinner they told us of the possibility of getting food donations as well. Their only concern is that they will need to distribute the food the same day that they receive it and that is where it gets tricky. They were talking to another church pastor regarding the food donations and he told them that it gets hard when you get food because it needs to be used quickly. They said that the last stuff they got that they had to dump gallons of milk because no one came to get it. WHAT A SHAME. I told them that if they do start doing the food donations that I will make sure that plenty of people show up to get the food so that it does not go to waste!
We had a wonderful time with them as always. I wish we lived closer- We would visit them more often... but we are about 45 minutes away!
God is good. THANK YOU GOD for your provisions.

#11-13 Picture Posts
Today I am posting several pictures to make up for the past few days! First is a picture of the view from the office where I work. I love looking out and seeing the mountains early in the morning- The sun reflecting off of them makes them look so pretty- This is what they call the Red Rocks of Las Vegas. Then below you will see a picture of the ingredients for the banana pineapple bread- My sister posted the recipe on her blog so I decided to try it out!

It is never to late to post.....
I really did not want to make this a complaining blog.... because believe it or not I am still very Thankful that I have a job. This Monday is a holiday and I plan on taking full advantage of that! I am going to be watching a friends girl since school is closed and she does not have off of work. I figured if I plan something then it will force me to not work!
Today I tried a the potato soup that Tesa Goossen posted on her blog and it was really good. I made enough to share with everyone at work and it was a great HIT.
Tomorrow is TACO potluck at the office. Everyone is bringing something for tacos!
Well, I hate to cut it short but work is calling me... yes I even bring it home with me- Hopefully things will get better soon so that we can hire help again- but until this economy gets better we will have to survive and be VERY Thankful that we are still employed.
Good night now my blogger friends!

#9 & #10 Aunt Judy

I guess my object now is to get my aunt a job so she can come out here to work and live. I really miss having family around and this would be an awesome idea should it work out! So- all my prayer warriors... Pray that I can find a job for my aunt and convince her to move out here with us! I have a 4 bedroom house that could really use the company of Aunt Judy, Jane and Zoey!

#8 Calvary Chapel

This is a picture of our church. I cheated with the picture today. I took one but there were so many cars in front of church that I preferred this view. Today we went to church and then after that we had plans with friends of ours for lunch. We had steaks on the grill with salad and french bread. Then we had some time of fellowship and games. We had a blast. It was an excellent day to just plain RELAX- I am actually in such a relax mode that the thought of going back to work tomorrow ruins it somewhat! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

#5 Lasagna

Today I made lunch for the office. My goal is to keep the morale up with them since things have been really rough the past few days. It is funny how food makes people happy. We had a good lunch of lasagna, salad and garlic bread. I am so thankful for the employees that I have. They are a GREAT bunch of workers. They never grumble when they are given more and more work to do.
It has been tough lately- I had to let an employee go to deal with the economy- which in doing so causes the load of everyone else to grow. I have been so stressed out that I have fever blisters on my lower lip. It looks like I have fat lips. I must make this short since I have a pile of work sitting next to me and they need to get done by tomorrow.
Have a good night my blog friends!

#4 Movies Galore
You guessed it... these are the movies that we are selling on e-bay. I decided to bring them to work since my purses went over really well- (they all sold within hours of bringing them in!). I guess I never realized how much STUFF we have- and that is the part I am working on- Really how much stuff do I really need to survive? Not much- clothes, food , shelter- all the rest are extras... don't get me wrong I like to have a movie to watch now and then- so don't worry I did keep my absolute favorite that I can watch over and over and over without getting tired of the movie- like the Disney movies!!! Also- another BIG praise I earned enough money from the sale of the purse yesterday for the dress and shoes and maybe even the alterations! I found a dress
for the wedding (see picture at left) cheaper than the original dress that I was looking at.... The rules of the dress where as follows: Must be bought at David's Bridal, must be Latte color, must be satin material and must be floor length. The style was up to each bridesmaid. I think this was an EXCELLENT idea since all bodies are different and one dress may look good on me but not on another girl! This will work for me! So back to my bargain- I paid $79.95 online and I will have it altered here- not at David's Bridal though since they are expensive on the altering! God sure is good isn't HE? We will see how this looks on me since I am in the pleasantly plump category- (okay lets be honest I am really in the VERY pleasantly plump category)Let's see what excitement comes my way today- TA TA for now!

#3 Material Things
Here is my picture for today! As you can see these are purses. I am working on "issues" that I have with materialism. My conscience has been pricked and I felt that maybe this was God's way of saying that I need to put away my worldly ways.... you know owning purses that barely get used- and to top it off they are not cheap purses. So, I prayed about it and it was clear what must be done. Since I am going to be in a wedding in May and the cost of the whole trip will be costly I am using the proceeds of my sales to save for that trip. I was looking at the bridesmaid dress yesterday and just for the dress (no alterations or accessories) will be around $250 ugh... maybe I can make enough out of the sale of these purses to pay for the dress. I brought the purses with me to work since some of the girls were interested in looking at them. Then I think I will be posting them on eBay.Paul and I also went through all the videos that we have and we have slimmed down quite a bit and will be posting them on eBay.
My sister did a scattergories game and I would like to participate- here goes:
What is your name? Kathryn
1. A 5 Letter Word: Kites
2. A Boys Name: Kenneth
3. A Girls Name: Kirsten
4. An Occupation: Kindergarten Teacher
5. A Color: Khaki

7. A Beverage: Kool Aid
8. A Food: Kiwi
9. Something found in the bathroom: Kotex
10. A place: Kentucky
11. A Reason for being late: Kept hitting the snooze button
12. Something you shout: KEEP OUT!
If you want to participate please do... it is lots of fun!

#2- Dia de Los Reyes

This is our Christmas Tree- It will soon be coming down since Christmas is over. I like to keep the tree up until after "Dia de los Reyes" (3 kings day) This is celebrated in Argentina on January 6th. Usually the kids put out their shoes and a bottle of wine - then the 3 kings (the parents) take the wine and leave gifts in the shoes. Of course we are not celebrating this way.... We usually get each other a little gift for that day- this year we decided to not do this.... since Paul owns about 70 pairs of shoes this would be a GREAT holiday for him... But NOT THIS YEAR! However I still like to keep the tree up until after 3 kings day!
One day I will take a picture of all of Paul's shoes so you can see that I am not exaggerating!
Feliz Dia de Los Reyes! Happy Three Kings Day!

Project 365
After reading my sister, and my aunts blogs I have decided to join in with the Project 365. This is going to be fun! It will either show how boring or how complicated my life is!
