Thankfulness

I am very Thankful this Sunday for the Lord's provision in our lives.
Paul received a call from one of the companies he interviewed. They would like to give him a shot but through a temp agency. They will determine once they see how Paul works if they want to hire him as an employee or not. I am so encouraged by this- I know that God worked this all out according to HIS perfect will. Paul will give his best and I have no doubt that he will succeed. Monday he must get the rest of his paperwork done- this company does a full background check and he needs to get his badge done. Once his background comes back he will be able to start work. PRAISE the LORD.
Thank you all for Praying with us regarding Paul's job situation.

Book Club

Today is Book Club with the girls. I am really looking forward to spending time tonight with the girls.

I have had some really good days at work. Extremely busy but rewarding. I have been able to stay on top of things which makes it easier to not feel overwhelmed with work.

Lately, Ana and I have been juicing fruit for breakfast and we are truly enjoying this little treat.

Since Glaziers has such excellent prices on fruit we buy the fruit that is on sale and then we juice it.

Yesterday this was the concoction we came up with:
1 grapefruit
2 oranges
3 apples
4 carrots
1 whole pineapple

This was REALLY yummy- the only effect we had was about 3 hours later we both heard weird sounds coming from our stomachs-
So- we also made trips to the restroom and feel healthier now!
Well- that is all for now....

The rat race

The rat race continues.... nothing much has changed. Work, Eat, Sleep, Work, Eat, Sleep... It seems like that is my life lately.

It has been really busy in Goossenville. Ana is doing really well. I was a little concerned that she would be sad with her family gone to Mexico- but I have managed to keep her busy between work, teaching her cooking tips, and Bible study time. I also have introduced her to reading Tracey Peterson books and she is hooked.

Paul has been extremely busy with school. These two classes that he is taking is ZAPPING him. They are tough classes so I am kind of thankful that he is home working on them. He was thinking that having so much time off would make it easier in school- but he has come to realize he is spending over 40 hours a week on his classes.

I do want to say THANK you to all my prayer warriors- I know that we have faithful friends and family praying for Paul and his job search. He has been to several interviews. One place in particular has done 2 interviews and made him take a personality test. We are praying that God open the doors to the RIGHT job for him. We know that HE will take care of us through this time. We covet your prayers in this manner as well.

I am thoroughly looking forward to this weekend. I need the days to refresh and renew!

Until the next one.....

96 days

96 days until.....
  • I get to sleep in every day for a week
  • I get to enjoy some sand
  • I get to see my sister and her husband
  • I get to take my mind off work!
  • I get to RELAX
  • I get to try different kinds of foods
  • I don't have a schedule to keep

Any idea what I am talking about?????????? YES- VACATION- Cruise to Mexico. I am SO looking forward to this trip. I need the mental break. I am equally excited that my sister and her husband will be able to go with us. We will be able to make more memories together.

Ana is officially living with us as of Saturday. We got her settled in her room. Her goal while she lives with me is to learn how to cook. She was really never taught many things growing up so I am going to be "mentoring" her in many aspects. Yesterday we made a pasta bake- it was yummy- she could not believe how easy the process was and then how tasty the dish was. Tonight we are going to make milanesas and french fries.

I will try to post more of the adventures of Ana in the Kitchen....

February?????

I am amazed at how quickly the month of January passed me by....
This past week was a very busy week. Most days I came home exhausted from work- I have spent most of the weekend catching up on what I was not able to do during the week.
Today and tomorrow- Pastor and Gabby start their moving process. They have found a townhouse to rent. Ana will be moving in on Saturday.
We are going to start the Stepping up Study by Beth Moore. I have the 4 videos and the workbooks. We plan on doing these together every morning before work. It will be good for both of us.
I have been enjoying reading the blogs this week. It makes me feel closer to you all. Thank you for keeping your blogs up- I guess I should keep up on mine since I know that some of my readers like to keep up on the Goossen life.
More to come...
