Why has this year flown by SOOOO fast? I am not sure where all the days have gone. I feel like just yesterday I was bringing in the new year and here I am in September today!
I am full of mixed emotions. I am truly enjoying my sister being with me- you know the cooking and cleaning taken care of- she is wonderful at making sure when I get home ALL things are done. I enjoy our times together- laughing, crying and just being silly. On the other hand I don't like the reason she is able to do this with me!
Tomorrow makes it month that Mike went home to be with The Lord- and Lizzie is doing very well. I pray for her daily- and I know that God is working!- due to all the prayers going up for her!
On to another subject.... The Cruise celebrating my parents 40th was fantabulous! We had lots of fun. Come to think of it all the time we get together as a family we have a great time. So many memories are made that I know I will treasure!
Before the cruise Lizzie and I decided we needed to get a pedicure... My heels have been really dry and we needed some pampering.... While sitting in the chair getting our feet done this lady comes up to us and asks if we want our eye brows done- I thought to myself- This is great- feet and eye brows waxed good idea... Then I looked over to the sign and it said eye brow threading.... Have you ever had your eye brows threaded? First of all, let me just say- DON'T- I trusted the lady - she said in her heavy accent- No it does not hurt... Well, SHE . WAS. WRONG. It hurt SO much my eyes hurt for 2 days- YES- I said 2 complete days- Waxing is definitely the ONLY way to go. Have you seen the threading process? I had tears rolling from my eyes and she nicely wiped the tears for me- "I thought it was not supposed to hurt"- is what I wanted to SHOUT- but OH- NO- I decided to keep my mouth shut. SO- long story longer- DON'T do the threading.

I don't even like waxing! Glad you had fun on the cruise. How long is Lizzie going to be with you?
Aunt Linda-
Lizzie is coming out to live with us. She is here until the 21st of September and then she comes out for good in October.
I just learned about threading the other day, but, gratefully, not from experience!
Wow... I'll stick with my tweezer! :D
I think you are just a wimp! Ha HA I had a lady do it one time at home and it really wasn't bad. Maybe it was the way she did it. Lizzie I think had it done too. You'll have to ask her. It was at a Mary Kay party.
Yes, we had a wonderful time on the cruise.
Why don't you just set a trend and make 'unibrow wings' a fashion statement. I have seen worse, like the huge "old lady" glasses we used to see in S. Florida.
Roz - I never had it done until Kathy decided I needed to enjoy the torture with her the other day :-)
I have to say the part that hurts is the eyelid... when she was threading right above my eyebrow it didnt hurt that much... but once she started under my eyebrow IT HURT...
I dont think threading any other area of your face hurts as bad as the eyelid...
Very painful and I wouldnt recommend it to anyone!
I thought you did sorry. Maybe I was thinking she asked you about it or maybe I am just getting old and forgetful.
I think you are just getting old and forgetful!- and forgetting the pain! Ha ha ha- :-)
