This weekend has been non-stop busy. I am not complaining- just giving you the facts. Paul and I started the weekend off with a little pampering. We got a pedicure and a facial. What a GREAT way to start off the busy weekend.
Below is a picture of Paul relaxing while getting his feet done.
After the relaxing pedicure and facial we went to the library. We have been wanting to go for a little while now- but the hours they are open are not very working people friendly. We checked out several books and some old classic movies.
Sam's Club was our next stop- We have 2 missions teams here and we are taking care of several meals for them. Half way through our shopping, Paul's knee started really hurting so he went back to the car while I finished the shopping.
Once home and unloaded it was time to cook a late lunch, and by then my body was aching for a little break. Lizzie has been gone watching a house and dog sitting so grocery shopping is a harder on me. She usually HELPS SO MUCH that when she is not around I notice- my body notices. My legs ache from carrying all the groceries to our kitchen which is on the 2nd floor of the house- (note to self: DO NOT EVER BUY A 3 STORY HOUSE AGAIN). The steps sure do get old some days. *smile*
I was able to take a little rest after lunch- just enough to rejuvenate me for the next activity. I made 4 loaves of banana bread to take to church for the missions team/church; did two loads of laundry (once again missing my sister) and started working on dinner.
After everything was done for the day- my body was just plain exhausted... but I could not unwind so I sat in the craft room and worked on some cards. I find card making very relaxing- takes my mind off of everything! Below is a picture of the cards I managed to make this weekend.
Sunday was a whirlwind day. I really am not sure where the day went! From 6:00 am to 9:00 pm I was going NON-STOP.
Church was AMAZING. The pastor of one of the missions team spoke. Very convicting sermon-
James 1:2-5
2. My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
3. Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
4. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
5. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
We ran home after church ate a quick lunch and started prepping the food for the missions team. We were feeding them dinner. THANK YOU LIZZIE for your hard work helping me out.
Paul and I did not get home till 9:30 pm. I fell into bed and did not move till 6:30 this morning!
How was your weekend? Hopefully yours was full and fulfilling just like mine was... What JOY it is to serve a LIVING GOD.
Blessings,
Vegas Girl

I am so glad I can help you out since you and Paul are so kind to let me live with you... you guys put up with me and I don't thank you enough for that!
Love you!
I also find being creative is relaxing, only for me it's sewing :)
I've been meaning to ask, what's the name of your church? We have missionary friends who visited a church in Vegas last year and we've been wondering if it might have been yours.
Have a great week!
