Days 1-5

I really wanted to post every day this month what I am thankful for- since we are in the month of Thanksgiving but somehow the first few days just slipped by!
Oh well, here goes, I will play catch up.

Day 1- I am thankful for Jesus Christ and what HE did for me years ago, dying on the cross for my sins to make a way for me to enter heaven through HIS shed blood.  Without God's sacrificial LOVE of sending HIS son Jesus (Who was PERFECT without SIN) to die on the cross there would be NO HOPE for us.

Day 2- I am thankful for a loving husband.  Paul is truly a gift from GOD to me.  I am so Thankful that God brought us together nearly 17 years ago (almost 15 being married).  He is always there for me through thick and thin.  My life with Paul is always FULL of adventures.

Day 3- I am thankful for my sacrificial sister Elizabeth Williams.  She has been a wonderful encouragement for me.  She is also a great help around the house.  My life the past 2 years has ran smoother because of her help.

Day 4- I am Thankful for my parents.  These past few years I have been more and more aware of what a blessing it is to have GODLY parents.  I am surrounded by people that were raised with unsaved parents and I am so THANKFUL that God spared me an ungodly upbringing.

Day 5- I am so THANKFUL for the BOUNTIFUL supply of veggies and fruit we got this weekend.  Lizzie and I have started participating in Bountiful Baskets.  It is a Food Co-op where a bunch of people go together and get fruit and veggies at a reduced price.  This weekend we got a box of 48 lbs of pickling cucumbers.  So.... guess what we were doing????? making pickles.  We had a blast- and they were easier than I thought to make.

Well, that now catches me up.  I look forward to continuing the remaining of the month!

more to come...

Your notes on thankfulness have been a real blessing. I taught Sunday School on I Peter 3:8-12 yesterday, and I'm sure it was more of a blessing to me than to anyone else. I'll e-mail my outline to you.

I'm proud of you for making pickles. It has been a long time since I've made them, but it is fun - and they are sooo good. Mom Goossen
